On the May 1 national holiday, Odsal Ling will be receiving Do Tulku Rinpoche, a young teacher of the Sakya lineage, for a day of teachings. <\/span><\/p>\n

Do Tulku Rinpoche will provide insights into the text Ambrosia for the Mind<\/em> by Jamyang Khyentse Wangpo, which addresses the seven points of mind training. <\/span><\/p>\n

The Buddhist teachings known as \"mind training\" were developed in Tibet by master Atisha Dipankara. These instructions challenge us to transform our habitual tendency toward self-centering, leading us to an altruistic attitude characterized by compassion and wisdom. <\/span><\/p>\n

About Do Tulku Rinpoche<\/strong><\/p>\n

Raktrul Rinpoche (also known as Do Tulku) was born in 1985 in South India. At 17, he was recognized by H.H. the Sakya Trizin as the VI Raktrul Rinpoche, a tulku (reincarnation) of a Sakya monastery. Do Tulku Rinpoche then entered the Dzongsar Khyentse Ch\u00f6kyi Lodro Institute, where he received training in Buddhist philosophy, practice and debate. After eleven years of study, he graduated successfully, receiving the title of Acharya.<\/span><\/p>\n

Rinpoche also taught at the Dzongsar Institute for a period of one year, and conducted retreats for monks in Mustang. Furthermore, he received teachings, transmissions and empowerment from some of today's greatest masters, such as H.H. the Dalai Lama, H.H. the Sakya Trizin, Khenchen Kunga Wangchuk, Dzongsar Jamyang Khyentse Rinpoche, Dagchen Rinpoche, Luding Khenchen Rinpoche and many others. <\/span><\/p>\n

He is also currently a translator for the 84000 project, an international translation project of the Buddha's teachings. Do Tulku Rinpoche is a lay teacher, without monastic ordination, and lives in Germany with his family at the Arya Tara Dharma Center (<\/span>https:\/\/www.aryatara-dharmacenter.com\/<\/span><\/a>).<\/span><\/div><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
