On February 28<\/strong> we will celebrate Losar, the Tibetan New Year<\/strong>. This is the year 2,152, represented by the Wood Snake.<\/p>\n For 15 days after the new year<\/strong>, we have the sacred period of Ch\u00f6trul D\u00fcchen<\/strong>, which commemorates the occasion on which Buddha Shakyamuni manifested a miracle a day for fifteen days, with the motivation of inspiring faith in his followers.<\/p>\n The culmination of this period is the first full moon of the Tibetan lunar year<\/strong>, this time to be celebrated on March 14.<\/strong><\/p>\n In this very special period, the effects of our actions, both virtuous and non-virtuous, are multiplied millions of times.<\/strong> During this powerful time of multiplicity, our practice and virtue have the potential to amplify even further, creating excellent conditions for bringing benefits to ourselves and all beings.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Read more<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n The word Losar is a Tibetan word for the new year.
