There is an unbroken thread of generosity from Buddha's time to the present day, which has enabled the teachings to come to us.<\/p>\n

Generosity is a seed present even before Buddha Shakyamuni\u2019s enlightenment. During his life as a beggar his bowl of food was always filled with offerings, which enabled his dedication to meditation practice and enlightenment.<\/p>\n

The Buddha gave us the greatest example of generosity in teaching the Dharma, the masters were generous through listening, practicing, and transmitting the teachings, and the Sangha has been generous by helping Dharma activities to continue to flourish.<\/p>\n

By contemplating deeply, we realize that participating in this stream of generosity makes us inseparable from Buddha's activities, generates immeasurable merit, and brings an inexhaustible benefit to all beings.<\/p>\n

Odsal Ling has been maintained for many years thanks to the generosity of participants in the Membership Program. Members are one of the fundamental and increasingly indispensable pillars for the tradition taught by Chagdud Rinpoche and the aspirations of Lama Tsering to come to fruition, especially at this challenging time.<\/p>\n
