On Monday, August 12<\/strong>, Odsal Ling will hold a special program to celebrate Chagdud Tulku Rinpoche's birthday.<\/strong><\/p>\n

On this special day, Lama Tsering will bestow the Red Tara empowerment<\/strong> and we will perform a Red Tara Tsog, khatag and butter lamp offerings and life release<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

On this day Rinpoche would have turned 94, and his presence in this world has touched us deeply, transforming our lives and the lives of all those who connect with him. Through his boundless compassion, we can experience the power of his blessings, love, and aspirations to this day, and this is something to be celebrated!<\/p>\n

WHAT IS LIFE RELEASE AND HOW TO TAKE PART?<\/b><\/h4>\n

[\/vc_column_text][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=\"2\/3\"][vc_column_text]Life release is a practice where we rescue animals that would be used for sacrifice, slaughter or any other activity that would otherwise end their lives, and then free them into their natural environment.<\/p>\n

The ceremonies include the recitation of prayers and mantras, and conclude with dedication. Dedications can be directed to a person who you care about or whose life has profound value to you, and then to all sentient beings. We also pray that the animals themselves, after escaping suffering, find rebirth in the form of human beings with spiritual connection.<\/p>\n

Offerings can be made until the day before, followed by an e-mail (with the amount and confirmation of the deposit) and the dedication of the practice (to be read during the ceremony, the merits can be dedicated to Chagdud Rinpoche).
