Losar, Tibetan New Year
On February 5, we will be celebrating the Tibetan New Year, or Losar. This year will be 2146, the year of the Earth Boar.
According to Buddhist tradition, the days before and after Losar are very important.

Temple Program during Carnival
From March 1 to 10, the Temple will be open to those who wish to deepen their personal practice. There will also be Cine Dharma sessions on Saturday nights.

“Poisons of the mind” retreat with Lama Tsering
During this retreat, Lama Tsering will offer all the necessary tools to use the poisons of the mind as a path to enlightenment, including reflections on how these poisons distort our perception of events and influence our actions of body, speech and mind.

Ambrosia for the Mind with Do Tulku Rinpoche
During his first visit to Brazil, Do Tulku will visit Odsal Ling and deliver teachings on Jamyang Khyentse Wangpo’s “Ambrosia for the Mind”.
Cinema Lotus | “Copying Beethoven”
On Saturday night (May 11), we will watch the movie “Copying Beethoven” (2006) at 8 pm in our Lotus Pavilion. The film portrays the last year of the composer’s life. The whole sangha is welcome!
Introduction to Buddhism with Lama Tsering
From February to May, Lama Tsering will be offering introductory teachings one Saturday per month for students interested in finding out more about the Buddhist path. The next meeting will take place on May 25.

Saga Dawa
Saga Dawa is one of the four most sacred periods within the Buddhist calendar, marking the birth, enlightenment and parinirvana of Shakyamuni Buddha. It is said that merit is accumulated exponentially during this period, therefore we dedicate ourselves to the accumulation of virtue and the renunciation of non-virtuous attitudes, finding inspiration in life of Shakyamuni Buddha.
Red Tara Empowerment
This empowerment gives the student the blessings of the lineage and the permission to perform the practice of Tara meditation, as revealed by Apong Tertön and brought to us by Chagdud Rinpoche.

In July, Lama Tsering will provide teachings on Ngöndro, the foundation of all Vajrayana Buddhist practice. It is recommended for all those who wish to deepen their spiritual path.
Guru Rinpoche Empowerment
Lama Tsering will grant Guru Rinpoche empowerment to Ngöndro practitioners on July 26 at 8pm, and is opening this rare opportunity for all who wish to participate – including beginners.
