SUMMARY:Refuge and Bodhicitta Vows with Lama Tsering
DESCRIPTION:[vc_row css=".vc_custom_1558129874598{padding-right: 10px !important;padding-left: 10px !important;}"][vc_column][vc_column_text]To start off the year with the right motivation\, Lama Tsering will be granting Refuge and Bodhicitta vows on January 1\, 2020 at 7:30 am in the Temple. \nIn the Refuge vow\, one formally commits to follow the Buddha's teachings by taking refuge in the Three Jewels (the Buddha\, the Dharma and the Sangha). In the Bodhicitta vow\, the commitment is made to work for the benefit of all beings and to strive to minimize their suffering. \nBy establishing this commitment\, the practitioner makes a firm decision to train their own mind\, avoiding negativities and striving to practice virtue until all beings attain Enlightenment. \nIt is not necessary to register to participate and those who have already taken such vows are invited to renew them. \nWhen participating in the ceremony\, it is traditional to make an offering to the Lama in order to generate positive interdependence.
