DESCRIPTION:[vc_row][vc_column width="2/3"][vc_column_text] \nNgöndro retreat\nIn January\, Lama Tsering will give teachings on Ngöndro\, the preliminary practices of Vajrayana Buddhism. \n  \n“The Dudjom Tersar Ngöndro provides a magnificent means of opening the door to recognizing the nature of the mind. I hope that all those who undertake it can transcend the rigors of the practices to find true contentment in them.”\nChagdud Tulku Rinpoche \n  \nIt is said that learning the Ngöndro is similar to learning the alphabet\, because although they are so-called “preliminary” practices\, they are never abandoned by the practitioner\, and are applied throughout the spiritual path\, right up to enlightenment. \nThis method\, if applied diligently\, purifies obscurations and negative karma\, creating the conditions for the practitioner to receive higher teachings - such as those of the Great Perfection. There are vegan\, gluten-free\, lactose-free and zero sugar options. \nYou bring your own meal: You can also bring your own meal to heat up. We have a pantry available for retreatants\, with a microwave oven\, fridge and sink. \nRestaurants nearby: there are some restaurants near the Temple that serve meals.
