SUMMARY:Teaching with Mingyur Rinpoche
DESCRIPTION:[vc_row][vc_column][vc_btn title="Click here to visit the event page" style="custom" custom_background="#d14d42" custom_text="#ffffff" size="lg" css_animation="fadeIn" custom_onclick="true" link="url:https%3A%2F%2Fhome.odsalling.org%2Fen%2Fcontent%2Fteaching-with-mingyur-rinpoche"][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row disable_element="yes"][vc_column width="2/3"][vc_column_text] \nDying every day: meditation\, transformation and the bards\n\n\n\nNothing remains except change\, and accepting this has the potential to transform the fear of dying into a joyful life. \nYongey Mingyur Rinpoche\, In love with the world: a monk's journey through the bardos of living and dying \n  \nFor many Tibetans\, the bardos mark the phases from death to rebirth\, but they can also be understood as an inner journey of the mind\, marking the intermediate periods in our own process of becoming more fully who we really are. \nWhen we feel threatened by change\, we try to keep things in place\, refusing to let old patterns die. Opening ourselves up to the constant changes of everyday life helps us to free ourselves from fear and resistance to experiencing the awakened nature of the mind. \nIn this event\, Mingyur Rinpoche will offer a practical insight into impermanence\, meditation\, death and transformation. His teachings will be drawn from his book\, In Love with the World: A Monk's Journey through the Bardos of Living and Dying. \nThis event is suitable for anyone interested in meditation and Tibetan Buddhism. \n\n\n[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width="1/3"][vc_cta h2="" color="grey" add_icon="left" i_icon_fontawesome="fas fa-calendar-alt" i_color="white" i_background_style="rounded" i_background_color="pink" i_on_border="true"]June 27 \n7pm (UTC-3)[/vc_cta][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row disable_element="yes" css=".vc_custom_1747568553269{margin-right: 3% !important;margin-left: 3% !important;padding-right: 10px !important;padding-left: 10px !important;}"][vc_column][vc_toggle title=""]Drubchöd é uma prática elaborada e extensa\, que inclui a recitação de uma sadana\, mantras e danças rituais. \nUm Drubchöd possui oferendas tão elaboradas quanto as de um Drubchen\, porém em um período menor.[/vc_toggle][vc_tta_accordion][vc_tta_section title="Yongey Mingyur Rinpoche" tab_id="1739128899660-e6754dca-45e8"][vc_column_text]Yongey Mingyur Rinpoche was born in Nepal in 1975. His mother was a descendant of two Tibetan kings and his father was the late Tulku Urgyen Rinpoche\, one of the most renowned Dzogchen teachers of the  twentieth century. Rinpoche's three older brothers are also accomplished Buddhist teachers. To cope  with his anxiety\, Rinpoche began meditating at six-years-old. Shortly thereafter\, Rinpoche began  learning from his father the various forms of meditation and began studying at the Sherab Ling  Monastery in India.   \nWhen he was eleven-years-old\, Rinpoche was invited to live at Sherab Ling Monastery\, the seat of Tai  Situ Rinpoche and one of the most important monasteries of the Kagyu lineage of Tibetan Buddhism. Rinpoche studied the teachings that were brought to Tibet by the great Indian Buddhist translator  Marpa and the rituals of the Karma Kagyu lineage with the retreat master of the Sherab Ling Monastery\,  Lama Tsultrim. At twelve-years-old\, Tai Situ Rinpoche enthroned Rinpoche as the seventh incarnation of  Yongey Mingyur Rinpoche.  \nWhen he was thirteen-years-old\, Rinpoche began a three-year retreat at the Sherab Ling Monastery in India led by Saljey Rinpoche\, a renowned meditation master. Following the three-year-retreat\, Rinpoche was appointed the meditation master of the next three-year retreat. He is the youngest known lama (teacher) to ever hold the Retreat Master position. In the role of Retreat Master\, Rinpoche was  responsible for guiding senior Buddhist monks and nuns through the intricacies of Buddhist meditation  practice.  \nRinpoche attended Dzongsar Monastic College to study the classical philosophies of the Buddhist tradition under the renowned Khenpo Kunga Wangchuk. At twenty-years-old\, Tai Situ Rinpoche  appointed Rinpoche to be the functioning abbot of the Sherab Ling. For the next five years\, Rinpoche  established a monastic college at the monastery\, worked as an assistant professor\, and served as a retreat master for a third three-year retreat. After he completed his studies\, Rinpoche studied under Nyoshul  Khen Rinpoche\, a grcat yogi and scholar of Buddhism.  \nRinpoche teaches all over the world and is the spiritual leader of Tergar Meditation Centers and Meditation Groups on five continents.  \nRinpoche is the author of two bestselling books. His first book\, The Joy of Living: Unlocking the Secret  and Science of Happiness\, debuted on the New York Times bestseller list and has been translated into over twenty languages. Rinpoche's most recent books are Turning Confusion into Clarity: A Guide to the  Foundation Practices of Tibetan Buddhism; Joyful Wisdom: Embracing Change and Finding Freedom; and an illustrated children's book\, Ziji: The Puppy that Learned to Meditate.  \nIn 2011\, Rinpoche disappeared from his monastery in India and embarked on a four-year traditional  wandering\, solitary meditation retreat without any food\, money\, or even a toothbrush. He spent  summers in the Himalayas in caves and at Buddhist pilgrimage sites such as Tso Pema and Ladakh\, and  winters in Buddhist and Hindu holy places in India and Nepal. Rinpoche resurfaced in November 2015.[/vc_column_text][/vc_tta_section][vc_tta_section i_icon_fontawesome="fas fa-edit" add_icon="true" title="Registration" tab_id="1609961002822-fd4013d4-d4de"][vc_column_text]Registration will open soon. \n  \n• Registration without accommodation and meals and online: \nR$ 121 \n  \n• Registration for teaching + accommodation from June 27 to 28\, with dinner from the 27th until breakfast on the 28th:\n- Dormitory: R$ 231\n- Shared room: R$ 255\n- Suite: R$ 278 \nDormitory - shares a room with 7 other people\nShared room - shares room with 3 other people\nSuite - shares room with 1 other person \n[/vc_column_text][/vc_tta_section][vc_tta_section i_icon_fontawesome="fas fa-utensils" add_icon="true" title="Meals" tab_id="1720299884456-3a7cbd0c-4d9c"][vc_column_text]Maha Pizza: our food truck serves pizza slices\, quiche\, cheese bread\, salad\, cold and hot drinks\, açaí\, sweets and popsicles.
